Thank You to All.
Thank you to the NGO's and volunteers who have raised awareness in the local community and in the Vietnamese Media. The following are updated photos (on the right column) of the children and their home. Even though these photos were taken during Tet (Vietnamese new year), the children have been constantly visited during the past year for check ups. Photos usually capture a moment in time only and does not reveal their full condition, but the volunteers have assured us that the children are very healthy and happy. Thank you to the locals also been visiting the children and answering their plight.
The orphanage now is quite aware of the media's presence and concerns of the community. The centre seems more transparent than before with volunteers from local schools, students, neighbours and NGOs. The children de not seem to be cautious of strangers as before due to the regular visits, now that the centre is more welcoming. These volunteers have requested anonymity as trust is a major factor in their relationships with whom they want to assist.
Tet 2014 Photos taken by: Miss Anonymous NGO.
(Vietnamese children usually have several names; official, house-hold and nick names. These nick names are used by the carers)
